Profissionalização e formação na educação musealanálise da trajetória e desafios em espaços culturais na cidade do Rio de Janeiro (2019-2024)

Resumo

This project examines the context of training and professionalization of museum educators in the city of Rio de Janeiro over the past five years. It outlines the profile of educators regarding their training and practice, identifying trends and deficiencies. Furthermore, it investigates the lack of a standardized framework for training, as well as the development of skills and theoretical knowledge through practice. The project explores key issues such as the absence of a continuous professional training flow, the role of institutions in training, the availability of courses for both new and current professionals, and the working conditions and incentives for professional development and exchange. The profession, which is not included in the Brazilian Classification of Occupations and lacks an established minimum curriculum, requires a specialized training course. Therefore, the project proposes the creation of a course to be offered by the State of Rio de Janeiro through the State Secretariat of Culture. This initiative aims to support museum educators while also fostering the cultural development of the State itself, which is one of the main investors in the city’s cultural institutions.
