Resumo
This case presents a hypothetical situation in which an aide to a São Paulo State countryside’s town hall is invited to the position of Executive-Secretary of the Consórcio Intermunicipal Grande ABC and need to decide whether is it worth it, to the cities part of the consortium, the compatibilization to the Public Consortiums General Law. Throughout the case are presented the Greater ABC region context, the aspects of the Brazilian federalism with respect to municipalities, the historical figures responsible for the creation of the Consortium, the legal status of the entity by the time of the case and the Public Consortiums General Law.
