Resumo

Purpose: This dissertation investigates the role of leadership in project management as an essential catalyst for fostering innovation in companies. It focuses on the importance of effective leadership in managing change and innovating within constantly evolving business environments. Design/ Methodology: The study adopts a qualitative approach, focused on deeply understanding the crucial qualities of effective leadership in innovation projects in the business context. It analyzes how leaders' strategic vision affects the success of innovative projects, the impact of agile management on innovation projects, and the influence of project leaders on the culture of innovation in organizations. Findings: The findings highlight how strategic vision, adaptation to agile management, and cultural influence are fundamental for the success of innovative projects. They also demonstrate the need for business leaders to implement innovative strategies to maintain competitiveness and organizational relevance. Practical implications: The study provides insights for academics and professionals, showing how leadership in project management can drive innovation and contribute to the cultural transformation of organizations. It emphasizes the importance of traditional organizations adapting to the challenges of the current market, marked by rapid innovations and technological changes, and how leadership qualities influence the promotion of innovation in environments less adaptable to change.
