Resumo

Understanding the patterns of service provision at the Federal Public Defender's Office, particularly the relationship between the occupants of the Regional Human Rights Defenders position and activists from social movements. Content analysis of 12 (twelve) interviews conducted with female lawyers who are users of the services of the Federal Public Defender's Office and the relationships of these professionals with the Regional Human Rights Defender's Office in Rio de Janeiro. There is evidence to suggest that the relationships established are developed based on political affinity issues, rather than the institutional path available. By expanding empirical studies, this thesis can promote alignment between the needs and challenges of public management in the Public Defender's Office, suggesting a new approach to providing human rights promotion and legal assistance. To contribute to the development of public policies and practices that promote the enhancement of participatory management in the promotion of human rights.
