Resumo
This present dissertation focalizes the management of the development in the Urban Railway of the Rio de Janeiro - STU-RJ, one unity of the Brazilian Urban Railway Company - CBTU, which proposes the conceptuals bases that can guide the efforts of turning the managers capable for this organization. The conceptuals bases proposed are based in the review of the various teories of the management of the development and one research that unveils the principais characteristics of the managers of the organization. The study presents one resume of the contribution of severa I studies about this theme, that constitutes the theoretical references. The dissertation presents also the research made with the managers.
