Uma avaliação estratégica da situação de crise e mudança das universidades federais brasileiras

Resumo

This dissertation deals with the universitv administration in the area of the federal govemment. The research carried our investigates the situation related to the crisis and changes in the Brazilian Federal l rniversitie~, bv means of the three investigation tools: Bibliographical investigation - it composes the theoretical basis of this investigation; Interviews - dealing with opinions given by university representatives of the Federal Universities located in Rio de Janeiro, I mean' Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Universidade Federal Fluminense, Universidade do Rio de Janeiro and Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro: and a elose Questionaire in which I presented questions abollt the crisis in the Brazilian Federal Universities, applied to the same group interviewed. The studv that was carried out deals with relevant information that help llS comprehend the crisis in these institutions as for exemple; the mission at the Brazilian Feder(ll Universities: Teaching, Research and Extension: the relationship Governrnent - Brazilian Federal Universities; the relationship University - Society: differences between the teaching at federal university and the teaching at private institutions: the problem of the Brazilian Federal Universities being free to studants: the massificatien of the teaching at the universities: the problem of corporativism: the university independence. and the evaluation of the Federal system of universitv teaching. Finally, in our conelusion we are going to evaluate the crisis situation and the effective need of implementary changes.
