Trabalho e cotidianoo que condiciona o quê?

Resumo

In this article, we assume an anthropological emphasis - examining, through ethnographic field work in a working-dasse vila of Porto Alegre, the social organization and the symbolic culture of a certain group - in order to discover how notions related to gender, work and time interact within a specific cultural logic. We consider successively three points of view of this process - those of the neighborhood, of men, and of women - suggesting how values originating in the group (olho grande" or family honor, for example) influence peoples's behavior just as well as structural factors linked to the labour market.
