Tomada de decisão em relação ao crédito em uma instituição financeiraum estudo de caso do Banco do Brasil

Resumo

There has been an intense transformation at compames, demanding in tum, more effectiveness on their processes. In this envirorunent full of uncertainties, decisionmaking is very important. 'The decision-making process of a company shows how it interacts with its environment' (Simon, 1965). The decision-making tums out to be very important, passing through severa) variabIes for decision model constitution. This research aims the study of the models adopted by a financiaI institution that end up reflecting its way of decision. The choice of this subject justifies itself not onIy by the importance that it represents to the financiaI institutions, but also by the constant improvement necessity of decision effectiveness. The institution under study is Banco do Brasil SI A, through a credit process anaIysis of Corporative Clients, showing how the decisions are made. There is a description of the decision-making process hierarchy along with credit risk models analysis, as being prevailing factors for the credit business success. In the Methodology chapter are characterized the institution and the study case. Regarding to theoretical references, an anaIysis of the decision-making process has been done, with study of credit risk models, as well as the formation of supporting systems for decision-making on financiaI institutions. The results of the study case answer the questions proposed, against documental analysis and empirical observation of the institution under study. Throughout this research, it has been observed an institution with a decision-making model extremely planned, nevertheless not using as yet the most modem methods of decision-making, conceming to credit risk assessment. The conclusions of this research besides resulting in several remarks about the study case, also contribute with some suggestions to the institution analyzed.
