Resumo
This text Sums up thoughts and concepts that are on the basis of a technique named '"Reading of the space" in planning and managing Passaúna River Hydrographic Basin (Great Curitiba Region). lt discusses the main characteristics of the technique used, its value in the analyses of interactive phenomena, and the results observed, outlining its role to the management of the space. It finishes by presenting the main results looked for during the planning phase: acquaintance of the area; trends; identification of urgent problems and demands; proposition for the basin land use; the making of a start for future community participation in the basin management.
