Sete Brasisos biomas terrestres, o Sistema Costeiro-Marinho e estratégias para lidar com o desafio climático nesses territórios

Resumo

In the face of the global climate emergency, Brazil needs mitigation and adaptation strategies that fully incorporate its ecological and social diversity. This study adopts the approach of the “seven Brazils” – six terrestrial biomes and the Coastal-Marine System – as territorial units with distinct patterns of land use, vulnerability, and climate response. The proposed analysis does not aim to compartmentalize these natural spaces as isolated units, but rather to highlight the socioecological specificities of each territory, which are interconnected through ecological, climatic, hydrological, and socioeconomic flows that cross their boundaries. The proposed synthesis aims to support policymakers in designing climate strategies that are better aligned with the specificities of these territories.
