Os Desafios da ANVISA no século XXI

Resumo

The introduction of the article "The Challenges of ANVISA in the 21st century", we seek to project some challenges based on studies and analyzes relevant to humanity. These are relevant themes for human survival, such as: climate change, increased food production, quality of life and new technologies. On the other hand, we need to rethink the economic, social, political and natural models for the balance of the planet. With every technological advance, we are experiencing a worldwide pandemic of COVID-19, a virus that has spread rapidly around the world, killing and making thousands of people sick on the planet. The world brings development and progress, but it also brings new problems and new diseases such as: obesity, insomnia, technology syndrome among others. With COVID-19, a fatal virus, the importance of health regulatory agencies is imminent in the sense of approving, regulating and inspecting new products and vaccines to combat this virus and other diseases. In the Brazilian case, ANVISA - National Health Surveillance Agency, has the function of protecting the health of Brazilians, launches its biggest challenge, meeting the needs and emergencies of the country, with efficient and effective measures and rules, to fight the virus. The search for information to understand and research the virus is extremely important for the discovery of an efficient vaccine. The solution has to be quick to mitigate the number of sick and dead around the world. A major challenge for researchers, the healthcare industry and for regulatory agencies around the world. In this article we seek to demonstrate the great challenges that humanity will face, in times of pandemic and the importance of regulatory agencies, such as ANVISA, for the development of science and the protection of Brazilians.
