Inteligência artificialas agendas da China e dos Estados Unidos

Resumo

The disruptive potential of artificial intelligence (AI) is so vast that discussions on the topic extend beyond technology into other critical areas, such as politics and geopolitics. Currently, China and the United States are spearheading advancements in AI. This article aims to compile – and compare – the governmental AI agendas of these nations. Research on AI innovation indicates that the private high-tech sector is primarily responsible for developing the core technologies in this field. This brings forth the significant challenge of regulation and its inherent trade-off: establishing restrictions strict enough to mitigate risks without impeding the pace of technological progress. Recognizing the importance of leading this technological frontier, both China and the United States are actively pursuing suitable policies, strategies, investments, and regulations to maximize their respective systems and restructure their productive capabilities.
