Identificação de fatores chaves para avaliação da excelência em gestão no Brasilum ensaio do modelo PNQ

Resumo

This paper evaluates the National Quality Award (PNQ), which role, according to the sponsor organization, is guiding the Excellence in Management in Brazil. The study investigates the 2011 PNQ´s excellence models’ texts, which combined with the academic literature review about the subject, supported the empirical study presented here. This research is based on different subject, perspective and methodology from previous studies found in scientific literature, so this research contributes to the identification of key components of management excellence, it is a scientific study from the perspective of the National Quality Award (PNQ), in a multivariate statistical approach, suggesting original academic and executive knowledge. Among the 409 respondent organizations, between October and November 2011 and January 2012, 262 of them have shown valid questionnaires. The sample is similar to the economic reality of Brazil in 2011, consisting of: 30% of the manufacturing sector and 70% of the service sector, similar to the composition of the Produto Interno Bruto index (PIB), according to the IBGE, in addition to having representatives from 21 segments, according to the magazine EXAME’s classification. The main result, 67,5% of management excellence in Brazil, can be explained by 06 key components: 1) performance indicators, 2) quick response to customers, 3) internal stimuli for results and excellence, 4) mitigation of negative impacts on the society, 5) social equity of the labor force and 6) market share, based on PNQ 2011, assessed by exploratory factor analysis.
