Resumo

This thesis aims to present and analyze, through unorthodox approaches, which I call “transviados”, a part of the history of university historiography in Brazil, specifically concerning sexual dissidence and gender disobedience. The study begins with the mapping of a corpus of 240 theses and dissertations defended in graduate programs in History in Brazil, between 1994 and 2022. However, it is not restricted to the analysis of the texts; it includes a set of digital artifacts created to support the proposal of a digital public historiography. Among them, there is a website, an Instagram profile and a YouTube channel. These platforms share information, data and interviews. The research is structured in two parts. In the first one, I describe the production processes, choices, difficulties and digital noises, as well as the subjective crossings present in this process, narrating the construction of digital artifacts, scripts, selected programs. and the digital media – Instagram and YouTube – used in historiographical dissemination. Such a process is built through a dense description using an ethnography of data as a method. The second part of the thesis navigates through a meticulously crafted historiographic landscape, demonstrating how digital methodologies can innovatively construct narratives within the field of historiography. Employing a diverse array of techniques, the research utilizes data mining, textual data visualization, and network analysis as heuristic tools. These methodologies facilitate the reinterpretation and generation of sources, enhance oral history practices, enable distant reading approaches, and contribute to the evolving domain of digital public history. This integration showcases the potential for digital tools to enrich historical analysis and presentation, offering new perspectives and deeper insights into the study of historiography. From there, a curation of knowledge is conducted through a proposal for a digital public historiography. Based on the data, the research performs a quantitative-qualitative analysis of the institutions, themes, periods covered, authors' profiles, sources used, theoretical influences, orientations and evaluation panels. The results demonstrate that the historiography on sexual dissidence and gender disobedience in the graduate program in History in Brazil is diverse, produced from perspectives, sources, and themes that still strongly focus on studies on male homosexuality, LGBTI+ social movements, and their nuances, maintaining strong characteristics of productions of the history of the present. especially in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, with a growing influence of queer theories, intersectionality, especially with race and, already indicating some studies on decoloniality. It is also noted that it is a historiography that still renders some bodies and historical experiences invisible, especially those outside of monosexuality and cisgender norms.
