Expansão do ensino técnico no estado de São Paulouma análise sobre a atuação da Secretaria de Educação na oferta de curso técnico integrado ao ensino médio

Resumo

The state of São Paulo has structured an ambitious program to expand professional and technical education (EPT) to serve the largest public educational network in Brazil. For the first time in decades, the State Department of Education will resume offering Professional and Technical Education in addition to the traditional offerings of Centro Paula Souza through Technical Schools (ETECs) and Technology Colleges (FATECs). The proposed plan aims to provide around 70,000 new spots for technical education integrated with high school for students across the state in 2024, without the need for a prior selection exam. This paper aims to contextualize the process of building the professional and technical education structure in the State of São Paulo and to analyze the state’s expansion proposal in the context of the current job market.
