Caso com nota de ensinoexpansão do ensino técnico no estado de São Paulo: a busca por garantir formação profissional para os estudantes que mais precisam

Resumo

The present teaching case addresses the challenges in public educational management regarding the implementation of educational reforms, in particular the Novo Ensino Médio (New High School) itinerary of technical and professional qualification. This change brought about the possibility for students to attend high school in an integrated manner with technical education without the need to expand their workload. The possibility of increasing the insertion of young people in the labor market in a more qualified way is one of the main benefits of this change. However, to implement it in a public education system as complex as that of the state of São Paulo, with strong resistance from some groups of professionals, some important dilemmas are brought up for discussion, especially considering the strategy of prioritizing more vulnerable students and with greater need for qualification for the job market.
