Resumo

This research contributes to the literature by offering a multidimensional instrument for diagnosing ageism in a typical career within the Brazilian public service, combining direct and indirect measurement techniques in an integrative model, an approach that is still little explored in the field of public organizations in Brazil. The research investigates the presence of ageism, in its attitudinal, behavioral, and experiential dimensions, in the career of Attorney of the National Treasury of the PGFN, and its association with job satisfaction. The research employs a cross-sectional quantitative approach, with the application of a structured questionnaire via the Qualtrics platform. Data collection used the Ageism in Organizational Context Scale (EACO) to measure stereotypes; conjoint analysis to assess the relative influence of age on simulated organizational choices; list experiment for indirect estimation of the prevalence of discrimination; the Workplace Age Discrimination Scale (WADS) for direct measurement of perceived victimization; and the Michigan Organizational Assessment Questionnaire Job Satisfaction Subscale (MOAQ-JSS) to assess job satisfaction.
