Resumo

This work describes a case of implementation of basic sanitation in an isolated community, located in a rural area of the municipality of São Paulo, to be used as didactic material in the MPGPP of FGV, in matters of public policies and basic sanitation infrastructure. It seeks to demonstrate the difficulties of providing such services in isolated communities and their importance for the public health of the populations that live there. It brings reflection on the responsibilities and challenges for the universalization of basic sanitation in rural and isolated areas in view of the current legislation
