Entre leis, discursos e memóriasuma análise dos silenciamentos e das práticas pedagógicas na formação docente antirracista

Resumo

This study analyzes the relationship between teacher education, structural racism, and the teaching of Portuguese Language within the context of Brazilian Basic Education, problematizing the persistence of pedagogical practices grounded in a normative and exclusionary conception of language. Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of Education for Ethnic-Racial Relations, sociolinguistics, and discussions on linguistic racism, the study highlights how the historically Eurocentric school curriculum contributes to the delegitimization of linguistic varieties associated with Black and peripheral students. Although Law No. 10.639/03 and the National Education Guidelines and Framework Law provide the appreciation of diversity and continuing teacher education, gaps persist in the implementation of these regulations, particularly regarding a critical approach to linguistic variation and ethnicracial relations. In this context, the research proposes the development of training workshops as an educational product, conceived as spaces for collective reflection, articulation between theory and practice, and the construction of anti-racist pedagogical strategies. The workshops aim to shift the teaching of the standard norm from an exclusionary normative framework to that of democratic cultural mediation, understanding language as a social and historical phenomenon shaped by power relations.It is concluded that continuing education, when theoretically grounded and connected to the concrete demands of the school context, constitutes a central strategy for confronting linguistic racism and for fostering teaching practices committed to social and racial justice.
