Concepções sobre governança ambientaluma revisão sistemática da literatura

Resumo

This article analyzes the field of research on environmental governance, exploring the construction of the knowledge framework and its evolution over time. To this end, a systematic literature review was conducted, using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, to identify metrics, trends, challenges, and contributions that characterize and influence the development of the topic. Based on a bibliographic database of 4,883 articles, it was observed that the first publications date back to the 1990s, with a significant increase from 2010 onward. The rise in publications coincides with the worsening of environmental issues and the growing debate on the effectiveness of environmental management models. Identified references provide important discussions on the conception, concepts, models, and, on a smaller scale, practices of environmental governance. However, it is observed that contributions remain predominantly theoretical, with gaps in relation to institutional designs that guide practical implementation and parameters for evaluating the effectiveness of environmental governance systems.
