Arquivos em movimento, um estudo de caso sobre a preservação e difusão digital do SRTV / Embrafilme

Resumo

This research investigates the preservation and potential reinterpretation of the audiovisual archive of the Radio e Televisão Sector (SRTV) of the former Embrafilme, currently housed at CTAV. Focusing on the historical, technical, and political challenges related to the memory of this archive, the study aims to understand how hybrid methods — combining traditional preservation with digital dissemination — can enhance its accessibility and contemporary relevance. The methodology included historical research, document analysis, interviews with technicians and managers, and a systematic literature review. As a final product, eight “react” videos were produced, featuring different groups of people watching and commenting on excerpts from the archive based on their own repertoires. The results reveal that the SRTV archive holds significant historical and communicative value, especially when reactivated through digital languages and plural perspectives. This research aligns with ongoing efforts at CTAV and contributes to strategies for cultural activation and critical memory within the field of audiovisual heritage.
