Resumo
The purpose of this paper is to study the corporate aspects of Law No. 14.193 of 2021, the statute that established the Brazilian Soccer Corporation Law (SAF), and to understand the importance that the forementioned law has on the football scenario of Brazil, both in its administrative, economic, and sporting aspects, as well as in its cultural aspects. Thus, this research aims at answering the following question: how can Law No. 14.193 contribute to the evolution of soccer regulation, regarding the previous statutes and in the sense of professionalizing sports management? To answer this question, the methodology used in this paper was based on legislative analysis and bibliographical research. The results of this research confirm the proposed hypothesis, which is that Law No. 14.193 represents a relevant evolution in the context of sports regulation, especially in relation to the Zico Law and the Pelé Law. Therefore, the conclusion of this paper is that Law 14.193 is a fundamental mechanism for assuring the development and good governance of soccer in Brazil and enables the association of legal and economic regulation with the modernization of the sport.
