Resumo

This paper aims to investigate the efficiency of the existing interaction between the entities of the Federal Public Administration involved in the pesticide regulatory process. For this purpose, a presentation of the Brazilian regulatory panorama was carried out, through the examination of
 Federal Law No. 7,802 / 89 and Federal Decree No. 4,074 / 02. Subsequently an empirical analysis of CTA’s meeting minutes was prepared. The CTA is a legal mechanism with the purpose of integrating the participants in the regulation process of pesticides. The operation of the CTA was approached from categories created according to its legal competences.The research noted that the
 tripartite regulatory model is not fully functioning, mainly because the Pesticide Information System (SIA) has not yet been implemented. In addition, it was concluded that a centralized regulatory model can present serious risks to the regulatory process for pesticides
