Resumo
The text deals with the revolts in the Arab world, leading to demonstrations that are appearing in the media as a powerful and instructive warning sign that the ballyhooed project of a New Middle East designed by Bush and redesigned by Obama, was discarded by the “Arab street “. The political regime has been shown to be well shaken, which had previously used Islamic fundamentalism, now with the success of the mobilization of the ‘’Arab street’’, there is a third way. In addition there are the Rentiers States, meaning states that hold with multilateral foreign aid payments, which are: development aid or military assistance, now also called “strategic rents”. Nationalism and Islamism are key points throughout the text, showing that the revolts in the Arab world are demonstrating that goes far beyond the messianic alleged manipulation of the masses, and the waves of protest in every Arab country are powerful, being the social media that connects in real time with the international public opinion.
