The spatial patterns of housing policy in Brazilan analysis based on IBGE geographic strata

Resumo

The article advances in the identification of patterns of spatial distribution of the projects contracted under the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program (PMCMV), in the period from 2009 to 2019. The identification of spatial patterns was carried out through cluster analysis of socioeconomic variables and contracts of the PMCMV and spatialized at the level of geographic strata of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). The spatialization of the results evidences, on the one hand, the intensity of the PMCMV in the context of strata with regional capitals of the IBGE, as well as in the metropolitan strata. On the other hand, the spatialization of the results shows the lower intensity of contracts in the North region and in the state capitals.
