In American society, the hero is the lone, individualistic enterprising man. In Japan, the hero in the business world is almost always collective. As for Brazil. the culture does not stimulate the enterprising behavior. Brazilian culture has produced different heroes: authoritarian and bureaucratic ("caxias"), rogues ("malandros"). "renouncers", and "conciliators". "dona flor", but has never been able to create mechanisms to guarantee the survival of enterprising men. a characteristic of the basic conduct that allows theeconomic growth of human societies. The text, based on anthropological studies, intends to expose the reasons for this phenomenon and to show the possible ways to redeem the enterprising man inside Brazilian organizations.
