Resumo
One of the challenges faced by Brazilian society, as it stands today, is to achieve an autonomous technological development. Technology, in every one of its dimensions, is to bringing about the reorganization of economic and social relationships in worldwide terms, between the countries and within each one of them. It is, therefore, a variable wich affects the power structure itself. In the Brazilian context, enterprises constituting the state setor of production (SPE), and in that quality, great buyers of capital goods, in the country as well as overseas, play a significant role in the process of assimilating and developing technology inside our frontiers. The present research has the purpose of empiricaly looking in to the way in which top technical personnel, involved in the buying of equipment in a foreing country and destined to a state enterprise, consider te transfer of technology in the buying process.
