Society and the organizations

Resumo

This article is a critical discussion of the various theoretical approaches to organizations, emphasizing the necessity of "non-conventional" paradigms, capable of allowing an analysis more attuned to the day-to-day of our organizational reality. In other words, what we mean is that a great part of what was already achieved, both at national and international levels, does not satisfactorily respond to the demands and to real organizational structures extant in a broader context. The apparent normality, a rationality presented by the organizations, is largely composed of organizationa1 reports and products formally structured for the external environment (financing agencies, family units, the State, the trade unions and so on), with a view to guaranteeing conformity and coherence with the outside world and thus, consequently, to securing resources, legitimacy and power, necessary for their existence.
