Resumo

The manager of a visual communication company is betting on IT as being the solution for maintaining the company and making it grow. Up to what point is this bet reasonable? Can IT be given this responsibility? This teaching case can be used for discussing and learning the following topics: IT as competitive advantage, how to think about and apply IT in the organizational environment in such a way as to generate competition advantages; and entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship in a planned and structured way; the challenges of entrepreneurship; and challenges for professionalizing administration.
