Resumo
It is not today that new forms of sustainable management are being studied in health markets around the world. When we analyze the reality of this scenario, it is possible to diagnose an accelerated process of loss of control / management and an abyss in the question of sustainability, which is increasingly approaching total collapse. One of the ways to attempt to change such a situation is to apply value-based health theory in practice, hoping to achieve a disruptive outcome of an old-fashioned management system that is still being worked on today. Value in health comes down to an equation, where value is equal to quality divided by cost (V = Q / C), that is, it is possible to calculate value when we consider the cost of a treatment and how much of it will bring quality to the person which is being addressed, and still today is the most accepted theory for such a discussion. One of the major problems facing the world today is the dichotomy in practical application and the lack and clear understanding of such a theory described above. It is worth remembering that this theory is very much shaped by the perspective of the actors' view on the health market. In the eagerness to reach a more applicable solution, private health sector companies, especially health care providers, begin a process of validation of the issue with the user, developing new ways to apply this concept in people's lives through systems and solutions to create a new sustainable model for health. This paper aims to demonstrate that the great bottleneck of the practical application of a value-based health system is not in the alignment of such theory itself, but rather in items that go together to such a theoretical orientation, such as: better information systems, commitment of health professionals, policies that favor the practical application of health value, among others.
