Resumo
In this article, we use the cases of the approvals of the Dodd-Frank Act and the Crapo Act, by the senators of the United States, respectively in 2010 and 2018, to examine the effects of legal or regulamentary measures related to the financial sector. This article shows that there may be a relationship between financial contributions by economic segments and the behavior of legislative voting when such contributions are understood as acts carried out with the objective of establishing personal connections, accesses and, above all, with the objective of forcing the receivers to act in an equivalent way.
