Resumo
The present study proposes an interpretation of Social Psychology as an expression of the man/environment relation, based on Piaget's dialectic genetic-structural model. An interdependence between different levels of theorical analysis and the continuity from the most simple to the most complex level is conceived, with the relative autonomy being maintained in each level which, with it's own laws, will be submitted to the global system of vital organization: biological, psychological and social levels enchain themselves without strict limits between them. Methodological problems of level abstractions which result in considerable distorsions, specially when the politico-social level is abstracted, are overcome this way. Social Psychology will be the study cf the action that a social structure provokes on the individual and the reciprocal action that the individual exerces on the social structure: the subject participates actively , in group, of the structure's construction which actuates on him. Between the choice of the dominant psycho-social empyrico-analytical approach and the alternative social historic approach, an interactional view i5 introduced, integrating as complementary, conflicting positions, theories being criticized which pretend to reduce human behavior to the environment or to the subject. A psychological theory of the man/environment relations is proposed, defining the degree of development reached by the individual and group as a function of the permitted interaction: if the context i6 repressive, there will be the occurence of empoverished actualization of cultural phenotypes. The social psychologist should have a development approach of individual and society, in order to actuate in a political relevant way. The ideology will be thought a8 the expression of a more general human function. the symbolical function and will always be dependent of the auto-regulation reached by the group in a specifical socio-political context. Considering that a concrete action is always ideological in it's praxis, a meta-ideological level will only be reached by the action on an ideological level; only through psycho-genetic and 8ocio-genetic research can a non-ideological data be reached.
