Resumo

Gandhi is credited for popularizing manual textile spinning, performed by rudimentary spinning equipment, which is recognized as the first appropriate equipment, in terms of technology, during the search for culture and knowledge valorization, in a struggle context for political, social and economic liberation and autonomy to his people. This is the oldest report about what we know now as Social Technologies. Among their characteristics, there is the absence of patents and, therefore, of intellectual property, the low cost, the possibility of reapplication in different realities, the proven social impact and the environment respect. Banco do Brasil Foundation, the social arm of Banco do Brasil, has been operating for over 36 years, since then it is promoting, supporting, encouraging and sponsoring actions in education, culture, health, social assistance, recreation and sports, environment, science and technology and assistance to urban-rural communities fields. Since 2001, with several partners support, it seeks to certify, reward, and disseminate Social Technologies already applied - with proven effective results - through Banco do Brasil Foundation Social Technologies Award. The unprecedented proposal brought by this work is to analyze the process of initiatives in Social Technologies certification, under the eyes of several actors, seeking to analyze the main obstacles that prevent organizations from having their proposals certified as ST. For this purpose, triangulation of methods strategy was used, by a quali-quantitative approach, presented in an intervention project way. The findings contributed to identification, nomination, classification, and measurement of the reasons to non-certification of proposals submitted in the 2017, 2019 and 2021 editions of the Award, as well as to identify extrinsic factors as the main target for a first intervention. Finally, beyond analysis and reflections on the studied subject, this work has suggested improvements in flows, processes, and system.
