Políticas públicas e investimentos públicos aplicados após certificação em comunidades quilombolas no município de Serra Talhada/sertão de Pernambuco

Resumo

Objective: With this study we sought to investigate whether, after the Palmares Cultural Foundation Certification Process in the 03 (three) quilombola communities studied, public investments and Public Policies were sufficient to promote improvements in life in these locations.. Methodology: The research utilized a qualitative-quantitative approach, including documentanalysis and the application of a questionnaire with both open-ended and closedendedquestions. Results: The expected results of this observational study are to demonstrate the structural, economic and social reality of the analyzed communities and verify whether the Public Policies and public investments made were sufficient to bring a real life improvement to the communities and their residents after the long-awaited Certification from the Palmares Cultural Foundation. Limitations: The research is limited to the comparison between the community's situation in the year of the Palmares Cultural Foundation's technical visit and the year of research for this Dissertation (2023). This study could be expanded to analyze what occurred between these dates. As a suggestion for future studies, an analysis of the flow of public investments in the studied communities within the time span between Certification and this Dissertation could document whether there were any investments, the outcomes of these investments, and the reasons for their cessation. Practical Contributions: This present study aims to contribute to monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of Public Policies and public investments in the studied communities
