Resumo

The work sought to verify the assertiveness of the Popular Restaurant Program called “Bom Prato” of the Ministry of Social Development of the State of São Paulo based on the people served at the Grajaú unit. The program is an integral part of the food and nutritional security actions developed by the state government of São Paulo. Based on the concept of food security as a fundamental human right, we sought to verify whether the users of Restaurante Bom Prato Grajaú covered the target audience initially designated by the public policy in question, whose formulation primarily included individuals in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability in that territory. To this end, a qualitative research of covert participant observation was carried out at the Bom Prato Grajaú unit with field diary recording listening to 25 users. As a result of the observations carried out, it was noted that there is a certain territorial selectivity, given that the unit currently has its headquarters in the district of Cidade Dutra, at a distance of 5 kilometers from the old unit and that this state program is probably not assertive in relation to the population. vulnerable area of the Grajaú district, but rather the people who live around the current headquarters. There are no studies carried out focusing on Popular Restaurants in the state of São Paulo from the perspective of the assertiveness of the Bom Prato program in relation to the profile of its users and the territoriality of the unit.
