Participação no planejamento operacionalo caso de um grupo de agências do banco do Brasil no Espírito Santo

Resumo

Inserted in such a changing environrnent, the organizations nowadays are looking for rnore flexible conceptual rnodels to apply. Changing can be stíll rnore outstanding in the Brazilian FinanciaI Systern. Banco do Brasil has been constantly adapting its structure to new rnanagernent rnodels. Planning and Controlling are essential in these rnodels and Banco do Brasil is keeping up with the most modem concepts of Strategic Managernent. The number of agencies and its physical dispersion rnake it irnperative to guarantee that corporate strategy is disseminated precisely, for it is in the tactical levei, including budget, that this strategy will be reflected and feasible. Given the high quantity of day by day bank operations, the related activities and their inherent cornplexity, Planning and Controlling can not be left or restraint to the agency management. Middle rnanagers, who are close enough to lhe board of direction and close enough to the client and to lhe tactical d!fficulties, take a fundamental role in this case. This paper built by using a descriptive type of survey applied to a certain area has as its objective a group of Banco do Brasil 's retail agencies located in the region of Grande Vitoria in the state of Espírito Santo analyzes the involvernent of middle rnanagement in the various phases of Planning and Controlling process and it comes out that there is a reasonably high leveI of direct ínvolvernent but yet. too tactical and focused in each one 's native function. There is some evidence that. whenever favorable conditions are encountered in the organization, they bring up a boorn of quality and involvernent of middle management in lhe referred processo These conditions also allow rniddle rnanagernent to widen its vision of the organization and of the business context in a whole.
