Resumo
The aim of this dissertation is to point out the participation of the High Institute of Administration and Economics (ISAE) Mercosul of the Getulio Vargas Foundation through its effective contributions to the corporate regional development of the State of Paraná. Six years, time it has been established in Curitiba, is the period which has been focused and described by means of evidence collected throughout the case study. The study contextualization targets are the insertion and actuation of the Institute in the community of the State of Paraná with an emphasis on the corporate scenario. It also points to the initiatives and ventures which constitute its institutional memory. As study categories, the axes of Internalization, Articulation and Institutional Promotion, Regional Customizing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation have been featuredin the literature regarding their main concepts and have been described in ISAE's policies and practices. The application of these axes contributes to the awareness which the community developed toward the Institute as one of recognition, acceptance, and sense of belonging. It also reflects the insertion and actuation of this community in the lnstitute's routine within the corporate scenario ISAE's role both as product reflector as well as product integrating force among the affilliates caused the breaking of that already expected initial opposition to outside influences. The results of the empirical research involving both current and former students as well as community leaders point out and highlight the importance of the innovating spirit, as well as the reliability, credibility and modernity the Institute has been accomplishing since its establishment. The conclusions thus reached show that ISAE's managing policies in force, which follow decentralized organizational framework model, meet or else go beyond the expectations which led to its implementation.
