Ocupação irregular do Guarituba - Piraquara/PR e ações de melhoria urbana por meio da intervenção pública

Resumo

The increasing centralization of the population in the great urban areas resulting in inadequatedevelopment, specially in areas with fragile environment, is the result of an urban planning implementation problem and the managing of its objectives, with the highlight of the housing issue. This research aimed to evaluate public intervention for regularization in the region called Guarituba located in the town of Piraquara, from a comparison among three other cases of irregularly occupation areas similar, also located in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. The selected cases are a result of the social inequalities which is increasingly more evident in the country and became the object of this case study for to the great population concentration and the fragility of where they are located. After this comparison, it was concluded that these urban interventions were able to solving the land development issues through the settlement of the land ownership to the people. Nevertheless, it is understood that an urbanization proposition must go beyond technical solution for housing and basic infrastructure, including social improvements through health and education equipments and also programs to generate income and work for the people in the area.
