O uso da tecnologia de informação para a educação a distância no ensino superior

Resumo

The dissemination of the information and the use of new technologies have delineated a transformation in the teach-learning processes. A significant part of this transformation is related to the use of the distance education as form to reach new public and to develop new methodologies of education. These transformations also are affecting each time more corporations. Millions of dollars are being saved every year, in a progressive rate, using the distance education, as an effective and more efficient mode to train its employees, than the traditional methods. However, despite the massive presence of the distance education in the Web, the subject distance education or training is not as popular as it should be and sometimes misunderstood. The interface between the Web teaching and the traditional or open universities still not explored in large scale. The purpose of this study is to make a comparative survey of the utilization among the university courses of business administration that uses distance education and distance courses or training used by the companies. We try to find in the sample, similar forms of interaction and students support between the universities and the companies, in order to form groups or clusters with similar characteristics. In this study we identify three major groups that better characterize the adopted methodologies.
