O conceito de interação segundo a teoria sistêmica na psicologia

Resumo

The interaction concept is approached in this paper as a factor of significant importance to psychology development. To this effect, the evolution of western science has been analyzed from ancient Greece to our days, emphasizing the scientific revolutions that brought some modification to scientific thought. This focalization permitted to discern two marking characteristics predominating in science: dualism and mechanism, which the XVII Century Scientific Revolution accentuated thanks to Descartes philosophy and Newton's physics. According to the paradigm Cartesian-Newtonian, interaction, in psychology, is nothing else than the actuation of something over another thing, and vice-versa; in other words, the human being is the resultant of forces, whether internal or external, which actuate over him and to which he reacts. Thus, the interaction reveals a linear mechanist connotation of cause and effect. The physicist and reductive view impeded some how the development of psychology which is suffering, as any other science in general, a transformation and a consequent reformulation and creation of concepts. So, it has been inferred that within this new frame, psychology considering man as a system, that is, as an assemblance of parts which, being all relevant, interact in permanent struggle of to be or not to be, of order and disorder in a constant reorganization, becomes salient the concept of interaction as a factor of a larger and more complete knowledge of man, a being so paradoxical and contradictory as per methodologies inadequate to the investigation of him.
