Resumo
The work analyses the relationship between brazilians and television. How the TV directly interferes in the lives of millions of people and sets trends in different areas. Television appears as the only information and entertainment option for a large part of the population. The quality of content production for free TV was affected by the arrival of pay TV and streaming, segregating the portion of the population that can pay for content from those who watch free broadcasts. To carry out this analysis, I revisited the files captured in audiovisual in which I recorded the process of switching off the analog signal from Brazilian TV. The original material had been ordered by companies interested in this process. From the raw collection, I reedited the content from a different perspective, seeking to analyze the entire relationship that Brazilians have with television. In the audiovisual capture process, over 3 years, I traveled through 42 brazilian cities and talked to about 200 people of different profiles. As a product of the professional master’s degree, I selected eleven people from the collection I have and produced a documentary of approximately 30 minutes, showing how they relate to television.
