Resumo

Companies invest considerable sums to find and retain talent, including women. However, a significant portion of this investment is lost due to the practice of workplace harassment, specifically misogynistic gaslighting. This is because female victims of misogynistic gaslighting, which can be understood as the manipulation of male bosses that creates an imbalance in female employees who are victims of this type of harassment, tend not to thrive in the company or eventually resign. Thus, the research is based on the analysis of the occurrence of misogynistic gaslighting in companies, starting from a concept of gaslighting adapted to the corporate environment and, therefore, less restrictive than that presented by the CNJ (2021), as it does not necessarily involve the disqualification of a woman's mental sanity for its configuration. With the application of this concept, the aim is to reconstruct the gaslighting harassment process so that women and companies can identify the occurrence of this phenomenon. The data analyzed were obtained through interviews with nine women, focusing on their self-perception of experiencing misogynistic gaslighting. Through this study, we can understand how the interviewees perceive the practice of misogynistic gaslighting, enabling companies to take effective measures to prevent and address this issue.
