Mistanásia e pandemiadescaso do poder público e morte por abandono social, uma análise da atuação do Sistema Único de Saúde durante a pandemia do COVID-19

Resumo

Based on the analysis of demises resulting from COVID-19 and the treatment provided by the State through the Unified Health System (SUS), it’s possible to unravel a parallel between the “mistanasia” concept and the functioning of the State as a provider of a dignified life and death. At first, the concept of “mistanasia” will be introduced as a legal issue and its others additional concepts. Under this context, the state action will be analyzed as a tool in the maintenance of a system that does not guarantee a dignified death and life, as well as perpetuating it’s dysfunction. To this end, data acquired from the COVID-19 Parliamentary Inquiry Committee will be collected, along with news from the Pandemic and post-pandemic time span, studies and reports that address the topic in this time frame. This way, an analysis can be formulated surrounding the state action in protecting the dignity of the human being during this period.
