Micro Infomation processing and organizational chadsa solution

Resumo

The velocity of technological changes in micro information processing has found the majority of enterprises unprepared for assesing the effects of adopting such resources. The appeal from technological innovation, its intense commercial divulgation, as well as the status inherent in it, have had a significant impact on the different levels, facilitating the action of the solution vendors, who promise the most varied improvements and the solution of every one and all managerial problems of the organization. The eagerness for immediate results has led many entities to decide for a strategy of "sowing to see that is reaped", thus bringing about chaotic situations. This paper intends to show the portrait of the chaos, and also to appraise a solution of relative low cost, imagined for the repairing of the initial situation. The proposed solution arised from a successful experience occurred in the Seção de Informática - SI (Information Processing Section - IPS) of the Command of the 3rd Military Region (in Porto Alegre), where was developed a standardization program for current activities, extended to other IPSs, by means of what was denominated a technical and administrative intervention. The work assesses the beneficial results obtained from the proposed standardization, through a comparison between a group of IPSs that underwent the abovementioned intervention and one other not subjected to it.
