Memória institucional e responsabilidade social corporativaproposta de criação do centro de memória do SESC RJ

Resumo

This research aims to propose the creation of a memory center for the Social Service of Commerce of Rio de Janeiro (Sesc RJ), given the absence of systematized criteria for the organization and preservation of its historical collection. The study begins with a diagnosis of the volume of documents accumulated throughout the institution's trajectory and the lack of a structured memory management policy. Methodologically, the investigation articulates three axes: a case study of Sesc Memórias and the memory area of the National Department; a survey and diagnosis of the historical collection of Sesc RJ; and a theoretical foundation on institutional memory, memory centers, social responsibility, and competitive advantage. As a product, the research presents a methodological proposal for the implementation of the Sesc RJ memory center, including guidelines for the selection, organization, and management of the collection. The results indicate that the institutionalization of memory, when guided by technical and strategic criteria, strengthens organizational identity, increases institutional transparency, and can constitute a competitive advantage and a social responsibility asset.
