Locação de ativos como alternativa para implantação de projetos de infraestrutura de saneamento

Resumo

This paper analyzes the asset rental model as an alternative to enable sanitation infrastructure projects in our country. Based on the project implemented by the Companhia Paranaense de Saneamento - SANEPAR in the municipalities of Matinhos and Pontal do Paraná, the characteristics of the model are discussed, in addition to comparing it with traditional alternatives to the implementation of this type of project. With scenarios that simulate variations in time, construction delays, and costs of implementation, value additions not initially predicted, the different alternatives that could have been adopted for the project in question are compared. It also seeks to extrapolate the analysis to other companies in the sector through the adoption of different capital costs. The results show that the model can be beneficial and help make projects feasible, especially for companies with weak financial health and high capital costs.
