Resumo
The objeticve of the present research was to investigate the effects of inequity when the person is the victim and the beneficiary in the relationship, and also, to verify the influence of self-concept and institucionalization in the reactions, and Kinds of restoration which appear in situations of inequity. 568 teenagers participated in the study. 504 were from Public and Private colleges and 64 from FUNABEM and FEEM. The results showed that subjects either in the victim or in the beneficiary situations, choose that type of restoration which tend to overcome the inequity situation. However, the perception of injustice is more accurate for those who are in disadvantage in the relationship. It was also detected, that the types of answers chosen to attenuate the distress originated from inequity seem to depend in some extent upon personality characteristics – in this case, the self-concept -as also on institucional factores.
