Gestão de projetos documentais em instituições públicasum estudo de caso

Resumo

Through a case-study, the present research examines critically the obstacles that interfered in the creation of an example of file management by the board of directors of Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo of Federal University of Bahia (FAUFBA) between december 2002 and july 2003. The theoretical basis of the investigation was established in a critical bibliographycal study throughout the analytical categories employed as main variables to these informations, such as: power, power relationships and institutions. The research revealed some restrictions not only in the field of activity such as in the methodology wich was used, due to the restrictions created by the field. In the conclusion, questions about power, management, working conditions and organizational culture were emphasized as considerable factors that block the good quality of services that an archive can offer. The study also considered the necessity of creating public politics supported by legal rules which could contribute to change the scenery
