Fontes de financiamento das instituições federais de ensino superiorum estudo sobre a Universidade de Brasília

Resumo

The present Text for Discussion results from a research on the financing resources of the Federal Institutions of Higher Education (Ifes), which involved the accomplishment of documental analysis and the study of a concrete case which had the University of Brasilia (UnB) as object. One of the conclusions of the study highlights the fact that, although some of the Support Foundations connected to the UnB have the considerable capacity to generate resources by its own, the internalization of these resources has revealed to be of difficult accounting. Moreover, it was evidenced that, despite corresponding to a significant share of the total resources directly collected in the global budget of this institution, the Treasury’s sources still accounts for approximately 2/3 of the total. In light of this conclusion, it could be inferred that, for the other Ifes, whose proper resources generation capacity is significantly inferior to the one of the UnB, the importance of the Treasury’s Resources becomes even greater.
