Resumo

The article examines four federal sources of financing for productive activities and infrastructure in the
 country. In doing so, it puts some light, on the one hand, on the government´s allocation of resources
 that leverage economic growth and, on the other hand, on the regional profile of the distribution of
 financial resources. It shows the existence of a strong misalignment and lack of coordination mechanisms
 between the use of resources and related public policies aimed at technological modernization, industrial
 renewal and reduction of regional disparities.
